Another chance to see faculty and staff holiday photos

Grouse Mountain

Traditionally, this time of the year has been marked by our delightful holiday-inspired gallery featuring submissions from you, our fellow faculty and staff community. While other commitments have resulted in us taking a break from the usual process this season, our team has curated a special collection of our holiday favourites submitted by the community in previous years to spread cheer. We invite you to explore and enjoy these photos with us.

As we embark on this journey of reminiscing, don't forget to capture your own holiday favourites this season. Next year, we'll be running a call for holiday photos again, and your memories could be a part of our collective celebration. Wishing you joy and warmth this holiday season!

Looking forward to holiday baking! This traditional Spanish King Cake (Roscón de Reyes) is a must for me. Serve it with hot chocolate to make it the perfect holiday treat! For all fellow bakers that want to try it, you can find a recipe here

I saw snow on the beach for the first time in Vancouver last December. The scene was breathtaking, and it was a beautiful landscape; the sun was shining, and the snow was sparkling.

Miniature elf door
Miniature Elf Doors are popular Christmas decorations in Finland. This one is built on the floor, by a baseboard, in a house in Vancouver, yet a Finnish Christmas Elf has moved in and is celebrating the Finnish Independence Day (December 6th) with a blue and white candle.

Every time I pass this home in my neighbourhood, it puts me in the holiday spirit and provides an abundance of holiday cheer and nostalgia. You may recognize the infamous "leg lamp" from the class holiday movie,
A Christmas Story.
