About Celebrate Learning Week
UBCV and UBCO are collaboratively presenting the 17th annual Celebrate Learning Week from May 4–8, 2026, online and in-person. This week offers an opportunity for the UBC community to pause, reflect, and reconnect through a dynamic lineup of 25+ events that showcase teaching, learning, and innovation across our campuses.

Keynote: May 4, 2026
The week will feature a keynote event with Dr. Mia Zamora: The Future of Learning Must Invite Us to Imagine: Freedom Dreaming for Liberatory Education. This interactive talk will open a dynamic conversation about liberatory education design and explore what freedom dreaming might look like in our own teaching and learning contexts.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in the free professional development opportunities to explore new ideas, share experiences and connect with colleagues.
