Turn your data challenge into a Master of Data Science Capstone Project

Do you have a data challenge you need help solving? Partner with a team of UBC Master of Data Science (MDS) students to turn your data into insights, tools or solutions.

During the final two months of the program each May and June, teams of MDS students work with Capstone Project Partners to apply their skills in data analysis, programming, statistics and machine learning to help address real-world data challenges.

    Time off to vote in the provincial election

    With both municipal and provincial elections taking place in British Columbia later this month, please note that there are provisions for faculty and staff to take time off to vote.These provisions apply only to the provincial election, as there are no time-off-to-vote provisions for the municipal general election.The British Columbia provincial election takes place on Saturday, October 24, 2026. Voting will take place between 8:00am and 8:00pm.
