Nominations open for alumni UBC Achievement Awards

Faculty and staff are invited to nominate UBC community members in recognition of their professional and community contributions. There are eight categories to recognize UBC alumni, faculty members, or community members committed to building an exceptional UBC.

These awards recognize excellence, leadership, and innovation in achievements and contributions to the social, cultural, and economic well-being of society, which positively reflect on the university.

Find out about the awards, eligibility, criteria, and process and submit your nomination by February 13.

    Submit a proposal to hire international students for support with research projects

    The Work Learn International Undergraduate Research Award Program is a funding opportunity that subsidizes UBC Vancouver faculty members in hiring undergraduate international students to work on their research projects full time during the summer 2026 session.Through this program, faculty members can get help furthering their research while supporting international students in their workplace learning goals. Proposals will be accepted until January 28, 2026.
