Meet the winter recipients of the 2023 Partnership Recognition and Exploration Fund
This winter, Partnership Recognition and Exploration (PRE) funding was awarded to 15 collaborative community-university initiatives, showcasing the diverse ways in which communities are partnering with UBC students, faculty and staff in Vancouver and the Okanagan. Receiving up to $1,500 each, some of the most recently funded community-university projects are working to:

2024 University Killam Professors competition – call for nominations
The biennial University Killam Professor competition is open for the nomination of exceptional faculty members who are extraordinary teachers and researchers, leaders in their academic fields, and have received national and international recognition.A maximum of three professors may be appointed during each competition cycle. It is the highest honour that the University can confer on a faculty member. University Killam Professors are expected to contribute to the overall intellectual life of the university and to serve as academic ambassadors to UBC’s external community.

Launching a search for a new Vice-President, External Relations
I am writing to let you know that UBC has embarked on a search for a new Vice-President, External Relations. The current Vice-President, Robin Ciceri, has completed her term and will transition into retirement this summer.The Vice-President, External Relations, reports to the President and has responsibility for providing strategic leadership for university communications and issues management, government relations and community engagement, ceremonies and events, campus and community planning, as well as the Learning Exchange and Robson Square.
