About the team

Hi there - we’re the UBC Internal Communications team. We’re here to help faculty and staff stay informed with what’s happening at UBC.

Our team is responsible for managing university-wide internal communications for faculty and staff. This includes sharing university news and announcements, as well as stories about the people in our community through the UBC Today website. We also help to share updates from leadership via UBC Broadcast and UBC Bulletin.

Our goal is to ensure that communications to faculty and staff are clear, timely and relevant. We provide advice and guidance to our colleagues across the university on internal communications strategy, planning, delivery and measurement.

We sit under the Vice-President, External Relations, within the Communications portfolio, which also includes the Media Relations and Brand and Marketing teams.

Although we’re based in Vancouver, we work closely with our communication partners across UBC. This includes the University Relations team at UBC Okanagan, Student Communication Services, and other communications colleagues across the Faculties and Administrative Units.

If you have something relevant and timely to communicate to faculty or staff, you are invited to submit it to the UBC Today website, or email the team at internal.communications@ubc.ca. We’re here to help ensure your messages reach the right people, at the right time, in the right way.
