UBCBulletin Updates for leadership

Consideration of the extension of appointment of Dr. Pamela Ratner, Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President, Faculty Planning

This message was sent to executive, deans and other senior academic leaders, academic heads, directors and managers, and senior professional leaders in Vancouver and the Okanagan.

6 April, 2021

As the first term of Dr. Pamela Ratner’s appointment as Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President, Faculty Planning, comes to an end on June 30, 2021, we have struck an advisory committee to consider an extension.

The Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President, Faculty Planning, is responsible for the academic leadership of enrolment planning and management, stewardship of existing and new academic space and capital projects, and has a role in university budget planning.

The advisory committee is now seeking feedback from faculty, staff and students on Dr. Ratner’s leadership with respect to her role. This will also be shared with all faculty and staff via UBC Today, and through student channels.

You are invited to email your comments to jackie.hallet@ubc.ca in the Office of the Provost and Vice-President, Academic, UBC Vancouver, by Friday, April 16

Learn more about the review process and the feedback confidentiality considerations.

Thank you for taking the time to share your input.

Andrew Szeri
Provost and Vice-President, Academic, UBC Vancouver
