UBC Connects at Robson Square offers funding to drive community-focused programs

UBC Connects at Robson Square is a brand-new initiative aiming to provide students, faculty and staff with the support required to collaborate with community partners in delivering innovative, community-focused programming.

All applications will be assessed based on the following criteria, with the aim of running one to two events at UBC Robson Square each month:

  • Access
  • Engagement
  • Relevance
  • Alignment with UBC's strategic priorities
  • Collaboration

Successful applications will be allotted a $5,000 credit upon approval.

    Announcing the 2023/24 Community-University Engagement Support fund recipients

    This year, the Community-University Engagement Support (CUES) fund awarded over $700,000 to 30 projects between community partners and UBC students, faculty and staff across BC. These partnerships are aimed at benefiting communities and advancing collaborative research, teaching and learning. With awards of up to $25,000 each, CUES funding is paid directly to community partners, prioritizing reciprocal, inclusive engagement, which ensures all communities—especially those historically, persistently, or systemically marginalized—can benefit.
