A message from Dr. Rehan Sadiq, Provost and Vice-President Academic pro tem, UBC Okanagan; and Michael Burgess, Associate Provost, Strategy, UBC Okanagan
Dear colleagues,
From September 2021 to January 2022 we engaged in a strategic review of the campus’ health programming and activities. The intention of the review was to determine an overall approach to developing a sustainable health strategy for our campus that will inform diverse outcomes, such as faculty recruitment, program development, integrating health-related research and teaching, and others.
The timing of this review was ideal, particularly given UBC Health’s release of its strategic plan in 2021, alongside tremendous expansion of health-related activities and programming across all Faculties at UBC Okanagan since the campus’ inception.
We are pleased to share with you the report on the External Review of Health Related Research, Teaching and Engagement, prepared by three external reviewers.
