Advance your research while supporting student workplace learning

Through the Undergraduate Student Research Awards program, UBC Vancouver and UBC Okanagan faculty members can get help furthering their research while supporting students in their workplace learning goals. Funded applicants will receive $6,000 in wage subsidies to hire Canadian undergraduate students full time during summer 2023, fall 2023 or winter 2024. 

Faculty members are required to hold an active Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) grant from the Research Grant list. Faculties/Schools have the ability to endorse non-NSERC grant holders to apply for the award, on the approval of the Associate Dean or appropriate designate.

Applications deadlines range from January 25 – March 17, 2023.
