Parity needed for mental and physical health funding, treatment

The federal government has pledged to help fund the expansion of free mental health services across Canada. Hear more from Dr. Lesley Lutes, Director of the Centre for Obesity and Wellbeing Research Excellence in UBC Okanagan’s Irving K. Barber Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, who explains that while this is positive news, more needs to be done to bring parity between mental and physical health care.

    Register for the New to UBC Connections Program - UBC Vancouver

    The New to UBC Connections Program is open to faculty and staff in Vancouver in their first year of employment who wish to meet people from outside their faculty or department.The program was piloted successfully in November 2023 and has received a positive response from new faculty and staff.Participants will be matched in groups of three-four and will meet every four to eight weeks to participate in activities or events as a group, based on shared areas of interest.
