Apply for Global South partnership development seed funding by Nov. 29

November 4, 2024

Despite the diversity of UBC’s 300-plus formal international partnerships, collaborations with the Global South are underrepresented.

UBC Vancouver faculty can apply for funding to initiate or deepen collaboration with partners in the Global South. The program provides seed funding of up to $10,000 per selected project for partnership development activities to support the development of joint initiatives.

This includes:

  • academic collaborations
  • capacity development initiatives
  • impactful research, and
  • knowledge exchange activities that address global challenges and promote sustainable development in partnership with institutions in the Global South.

The program encourages interdisciplinary approaches, promotes equitable partnerships and emphasizes long-term sustainability and mutual benefit for all stakeholders.

Applications are due by Friday, Nov. 29.
