A message from Ananya Mukherjee Reed, Provost and Vice-President, Academic, UBC Okanagan

Dear colleagues,

As you know, Dr. Roger Sugden will conclude his final term as dean, Faculty of Management on June 30, 2022. During the last 18 months, a number of processes have been disrupted or delayed as many resources have been redeployed to support our students, faculty and staff through the COVID-19 pandemic.

As such, in order to have additional time to give full and proper consideration to the Faculty of Management’s search for its next leader, I have requested Dr. Sugden to serve as dean pro tem for up to 12 months, effective July 1, 2022. In accordance with Board policy AP8, I have also sought and received approval for the same from President Ono.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Sugden for his willingness to continue to lead the Faculty through this unprecedented period.
