Meet the latest recipients of UBC’s 2024 Partnership Recognition and Exploration Fund

This past summer, Partnership Recognition and Exploration funding was awarded to 15 collaborative initiatives, showcasing the diverse ways in which communities are partnering with UBC students, faculty and staff in Vancouver and the Okanagan.

Receiving up to $1,500 each, some of the most recently funded community-university projects are working to address urgent social, environmental, and health issues – from advancing Indigenous rights in Kaska Dena Traditional Territory to building seed-saving infrastructure at UBC Farm, to providing creative arts workshops for survivors of domestic violence and ensuring the preservation of cultural heritage and sustainability across British Columbia.

The PRE Fund aims to boost collaboration and relationship building, as well as support community partners to build reciprocal relationships with UBC faculty, staff, and students. Applications reopen in May 2024.
