Nominations open for Okanagan teaching awards

Nominations are now open for 2024/25 UBC Okanagan teaching awards.

Provost’s Award for Teaching Excellence and Innovation:

This award acknowledges and celebrates teaching excellence and innovation at UBC’s Okanagan campus. The successful award recipient(s) will be exemplary role models who have and will continue to have a significant impact on the culture of teaching and learning on the Okanagan campus, and beyond.

Killam Teaching Prize:

UBC Okanagan awards up to one Killam Teaching Prize each year to faculty member with a continuing appointment who has distinguished themselves as an exemplary teacher with a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and innovation throughout their career. Department heads or equivalents are invited to submit nominations for this award.

The deadline to nominate faculty members is November 8.

    The UBC Okanagan community is invited to give their feedback regarding an update to the existing UBC Okanagan campus plan. The campus plan, which was created in 2015, is being updated to inform how UBC Okanagan will use its land over the next 20 years. The first round of engagement took place in spring 2024.
