Spring is here (even if the wind, rain, and hail signal otherwise). Nonetheless, this time of year is cause for celebration and gives all of us a chance to appreciate the warmer breeze and new seasonal blooms.

A few weeks ago, we asked you – our faculty and staff community – to share a photo (or two) that captures seasonal buds, blooms, and greenery. A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to send us a photo and share their comments and captions.

If you're an Okanagan faculty or staff member who missed your chance to submit a photo the first time around, we invite you to share your photos with us by May 4.

And now, without further ado, take a moment to enjoy the unique visual reflections submitted by your fellow colleagues.

For me, nothing says spring has arrived more than the blooming of white fawn lilies. My favourite place to find them is Lighthouse Park, but they can be found on campus too, outside Brock Hall and in the Botanical Garden.

Purple flower
"Anemones and friends" -- Spring means the return of vibrant colour after the monochromatic winter. Closeup or macro photography in a colourful garden is a great way to immerse yourself in the beauty of spring. You don't even need a garden, a single bloom in a pot will do.
