Vote in the Staff Pension Plan Election
Elect two Staff Pension Plan members to serve on the Board from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2024. Vote online or by paper ballot by November 23, 2020. Members with a Campus-Wide Login (CWL) username and password can vote online through the WebVote system. Those who do not have a CWL are asked to submit a paper ballot. Learn more

Call for applications for faculty research advisors
If you are a faculty member with the rank of professor, with demonstrated knowledge of UBC research policies and systems and significant grant funding experience, you are invited to apply to be a faculty research advisor. The Vice-President Research and Innovation Office relies on faculty research advisors to provide strategic guidance, advice and leadership regarding research funding. Each advisor holds primary responsibility for a funding domain corresponding to a federal granting agency:

Santa Ono's Letter to the Community — Update: Addressing issues of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
UBC remains deeply committed to tackling issues of equity, diversity and inclusion in our core academic mission and to identifying and addressing gaps in supporting racialized students, faculty and staff to succeed. An inclusive university is one which actively confronts and overcomes systemic barriers faced by different groups and enables everyone to realize their full potential. With this in mind, I want to provide our community members with an update on some steps that have been taken to address these important issues.

Flags lowered Nov. 2 in memory of Debra Harding
Flags at UBC Okanagan will be lowered on November 2, 2020, in memory of staff member Debra Harding, who passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020. Debra joined UBC Okanagan in 2010, and worked in Student Housing and Hospitality Services, and since 2018 worked in the Human Resources Department as the Workplace Learning and Engagement Associate.
