Integrate climate into your courses with the Climate Teaching Connector

The Climate Teaching Connector, coordinated by the Sustainability Hub, offers UBC Vancouver faculty an accessible way to integrate climate change-related content into their courses. 

The program connects faculty with graduate students from diverse disciplines who deliver guest presentations grounded in their graduate program, research, lived experiences, and unique climate perspectives.

Please consider requesting a lecture before the holidays to secure a presenter for the upcoming term.

    In another significant step towards building a more inclusive community, 41 new equity and anti-racism projects have been funded across the Vancouver and Okanagan campuses through the fall 2025 cycle of the Strategic Equity & Anti-Racism (StEAR) Enhancement Fund.These initiatives, led by students, faculty, and staff, focus on dismantling systemic barriers and fostering a sense of belonging through learning, research, and campus life.     UBC community members among new Order of Canada appointees

    On December 31, 2025, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, announced 80 new appointments to the Order of Canada. Fifteen of the most recent appointments have ties to UBC, as current and former members of faculty, alumni, honorary degree recipients and a member of the Board of Governors.
