Launching new pilot program to engage women and gender-diverse junior faculty

27 January, 2021

The Office of the Provost & Vice-President Academic, UBC Vancouver, is launching a new initiative for women and gender-diverse faculty members in the early stages of their academic career. The pilot program, Maximizing Impact: Navigating Uncertainty and Complexity in the time of COVID-19, aims to engage women and gender-diverse junior faculty in maximizing the impact of their academic endeavours.

Non-tenured women and gender-diverse faculty members at the level of Assistant Professor are invited to join the three-month online program, which will provide networking opportunities, lunch-and-learn sessions, and group and/or individual leadership coaching.

The program will begin mid-February and continue through the end of April 2021. The deadline for applications is February 5, 2021. In order to provide the best experience, we are limiting participation to 30 individuals for this pilot phase.
