UBC has introduced a new mental health literacy training for managers and supervisors, Supporting Mental Health in the Workplace for Managers and Supervisors. Recognizing the pressures that managers and supervisors are facing, this required training is vital to helping create mental health awareness among our community.
As of January 17, 2023, managers and supervisors will receive an email to complete the training, which focuses on building mental health literacy, helping managers and leaders understand how they can build a supportive workplace culture for their teams, and sharing important resources. This training will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
You can read the full announcement here.
As a manager or leader, you play an important role in supporting your mental health and that of your teams. We encourage you to get involved and complete this training.
