UBC Okanagan faculty are invited to submit a proposal for the Aspire-2040 Learning Transformations Fund (ALT-2040).
The ALT-2040 fund supports projects that advance transformative teaching and learning priorities at UBC Okanagan.
Interested faculty can learn more about the fund during an online ALT-2040 Information Session on Jan. 30.
Proposals are due by Feb. 29.
We are pleased to announce that Workday Student will reach a key milestone next week, when it becomes directly accessible by UBC’s student population.On May 21, all new and returning UBC students will gain access to Workday Student to support all their academic administrative activities for the Winter 2024 session and beyond.

A total of 136 teams took part at UBC Vancouver while UBC Okanagan had its biggest Sports Day yet with 270 participants. The fun event was made possible with the support of a dedicated group of staff and volunteers who made this amazing day possible.
The New to UBC Connections Program is open to faculty and staff in Vancouver in their first year of employment who wish to meet people from outside their faculty or department.The program was piloted successfully in November 2023 and has received a positive response from new faculty and staff.Participants will be matched in groups of three-four and will meet every four to eight weeks to participate in activities or events as a group, based on shared areas of interest.
We want to hear from faculty and staff who are leading the way in generating positive change at the university.
On March 27, the Board of Governors approved amendments to UBC’s Conflict of Interest (COI) Policy (SC3) and its associated Procedures, effective as of April 2. The policy was amended to fully reflect the annual COI reporting requirements for UBC staff members, as well as address various best practices that have emerged since the last revision.A copy of the approved Conflict of Interest Policy and its associated Procedures is available on the University Counsel website.
