Aspire-2040 Learning Transformations (ALT-2040) Fund call for proposals now open

Do you want to support transformative change in teaching and learning to deliver UBC Okanagan's Outlook 2040 academic vision?

Through funding program development, curriculum transformations, student experience enhancements and educational resource development, the ALT-2040 fund supports academic program priorities articulated in Shaping UBC’s Next Century, Outlook 2040, the Indigenous Strategic Plan, UBC Okanagan’s Truth and Reconciliation Commitments and UBC’s anti-racism initiatives.

Faculty members at UBC Okanagan are invited to submit proposals for innovative projects that advance transformative learning and teaching and learning priorities on our campus. Proposals are due by May 15.

A total of 136 teams took part at UBC Vancouver while UBC Okanagan had its biggest Sports Day yet with 270 participants. The fun event was made possible with the support of a dedicated group of staff and volunteers who made this amazing day possible.

    Register for the New to UBC Connections Program - UBC Vancouver

    The New to UBC Connections Program is open to faculty and staff in Vancouver in their first year of employment who wish to meet people from outside their faculty or department.The program was piloted successfully in November 2023 and has received a positive response from new faculty and staff.Participants will be matched in groups of three-four and will meet every four to eight weeks to participate in activities or events as a group, based on shared areas of interest.

    UBC’s amended Conflict of Interest Policy (SC3)

    On March 27, the Board of Governors approved amendments to UBC’s Conflict of Interest (COI) Policy (SC3) and its associated Procedures, effective as of April 2. The policy was amended to fully reflect the annual COI reporting requirements for UBC staff members, as well as address various best practices that have emerged since the last revision.A copy of the approved Conflict of Interest Policy and its associated Procedures is available on the University Counsel website.
