Thank you for your ongoing support and patience following the launch of Workday on November 2. As many of you know, the Integrated Service Centre (ISC) is now your main point of contact for Workday Finance and HR related queries, issues, and requests.

To help support you, the ISC has created a resource called Workday this Week, which includes all the latest updates, recent changes and timely information about Workday.

Workday this Week is updated regularly based on frequently asked questions from the UBC community, submitted tickets, upcoming deadlines, and Workday system updates. It includes “Top Topics” to help you find answers to common questions, including key changes and resources like submitting expense reports, vacation requests, and payroll reminders by upcoming deadlines.

Workday this Week also includes:

  • Known issues
  • Recently resolved issues
  • Upcoming scheduled maintenance
  • Tips and helpful hints about using Workday

You can read Workday this Week by clicking on the link in the green bar at the top of the UBC Self-Service Portal.

Please consider using the resources available on Workday this Week before you submit a ticket. This will help the ISC team focus on complex questions with dedicated resources.

    Recognizing Teaching Excellence at UBC Okanagan

    The recipients of UBC Okanagan’s Killam Teaching Prize and the Provost’s Award for Teaching Excellence and Innovation have been announced.They are exemplary role models who make significant impacts on the culture of teaching and learning on the Okanagan campus.Winner of the Killam Teaching Prize is Dr. Bowen Hui, Associate Professor of Teaching, Irving K. Barber Faculty of Science.The Provost’s Award for Teaching Excellence and Innovation was awarded to three faculty members:

    Meet the 2025 recipients of UBC’s Community-University Engagement Support Fund

    UBC Community Engagement, in collaboration with the Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation, is proud to announce the 2024-25 recipients of the Community-University Engagement Support (CUES) Fund.This year, a total of $727,014 was awarded to 30 outstanding projects, with grants of up to $25,000 each. These partnerships—spanning urban, rural, and Indigenous communities across the province—are designed to support community-led initiatives while advancing collaborative research, teaching, and learning.
