Nominations open for UBC Health awards

If you know an individual or team who demonstrates excellence in mentorship, interprofessional collaboration, or health education, nominate them for a 2022 UBC Health award by November 10.

 

The UBC Health awards recognize the academic and research excellence of faculty and staff from various health disciplines at the university, as well as the achievements of health educators, professionals, and community partners across BC.

A total of 136 teams took part at UBC Vancouver while UBC Okanagan had its biggest Sports Day yet with 270 participants. The fun event was made possible with the support of a dedicated group of staff and volunteers who made this amazing day possible.

    Register for the New to UBC Connections Program - UBC Vancouver

    The New to UBC Connections Program is open to faculty and staff in Vancouver in their first year of employment who wish to meet people from outside their faculty or department.The program was piloted successfully in November 2023 and has received a positive response from new faculty and staff.Participants will be matched in groups of three-four and will meet every four to eight weeks to participate in activities or events as a group, based on shared areas of interest.

    UBC’s amended Conflict of Interest Policy (SC3)

    On March 27, the Board of Governors approved amendments to UBC’s Conflict of Interest (COI) Policy (SC3) and its associated Procedures, effective as of April 2. The policy was amended to fully reflect the annual COI reporting requirements for UBC staff members, as well as address various best practices that have emerged since the last revision.A copy of the approved Conflict of Interest Policy and its associated Procedures is available on the University Counsel website.
