Inviting nominations for an honorary UBC degree

Each year, UBC grants honorary degrees to recognize individuals who have made substantial contributions to society. As part of this process, faculty and staff are invited to nominate people whose work reflects the university’s vision.

Nominees must have made substantial contributions to society at the provincial, national and/or international levels, for example:

• leading academics in all disciplines and creative minds in arts and performance;
• public intellectuals and opinion makers;
• visionary leaders and exemplary public figures;
• community builders and philanthropists.

The Vancouver Senate Tributes Committee and the Okanagan Senate Learning and Research Committee are inviting nominations by September 30, 2023.
