Leadership transition in Peter A. Allard School of Law

Professor Ngai Pindell has informed me of his decision not to seek a second term and to step down as Dean of the Peter A. Allard School of Law as of June 30, 2026.
On behalf of the university, I would like to thank Professor Pindell for his steady leadership and for the key role he has played in the many successes and achievements of the Allard School of Law since he joined the university in 2021. During this time, Professor Pindell oversaw the launch of the law school’s five-year strategic plan in 2023, admitted and supported an increasingly diverse student body, deepened alumni and community connections, and engaged in successful fundraising.
I am grateful to Professor Pindell for his leadership and many contributions to the university. More information regarding the appointment of a Dean pro tem, as well as opening a search for the new Dean, will be shared in the coming months.
