Submit a proposal to hire temporary student employees through the Work Study program

The Work Study program offers $400,000 in minimum wage subsidies, to help faculty and staff create outstanding student employment opportunities at UBC Okanagan. Funding is awarded to eligible employers via a competitive application and adjudication process.

If you have a work opportunity to help students develop their professional skills and contribute to a work environment, submit a proposal to the Work Study program by January 17, 2022.

    Recognizing Teaching Excellence at UBC Okanagan

    The recipients of UBC Okanagan’s Killam Teaching Prize and the Provost’s Award for Teaching Excellence and Innovation have been announced.They are exemplary role models who make significant impacts on the culture of teaching and learning on the Okanagan campus.Winner of the Killam Teaching Prize is Dr. Christine Schreyer, Associate Professor of Anthropology, in the Irving K. Barber Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.The Provost’s Award for Teaching Excellence and Innovation was awarded to three faculty members:
