A message from Marcia Buchholz, Vice-President, Human Resources; Andrew Szeri, Provost and Vice-President, Academic, UBC Vancouver; and Ananya Mukherjee Reed, Provost and Vice-President, Academic, UBC Okanagan

As part of UBC’s ongoing efforts to foster an inclusive and diverse workforce, we are asking all faculty and staff in Vancouver and the Okanagan to complete the Employment Equity Survey by October 29

This year, the survey has been significantly improved based on your feedback. It offers more options for self-identification and uses up-to-date terminology to allow for enhanced analysis and understanding of the composition and diversity of UBC's workforce. These updates will allow leadership at all levels to have access to better employment equity data to make real change — to take concrete steps to identify and remove systemic barriers to equity in recruitment, employment, retention and promotion, and report on progress towards a more equitable and inclusive UBC.
