2023 UBC Teaching Practices Survey opens May 2
From May 2 to 30, UBC will be running its third Teaching Practices Survey to better understand how faculty members, as well as those who teach, structure learning for students. The survey, which is conducted every four years, also offers an opportunity to provide confidential feedback on teaching practices and perceptions of the teaching climate in Vancouver and the Okanagan.

UBC scholar combats climate change with happiness
The prevailing narrative on the climate crisis—and how to address it—often revolves around being told that the only way to solve it is to give up simple pleasures and conveniences. Dr. Jiaying Zhao, a behavioural scientist in the Department of Psychology and the Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability, is working to change that narrative. She wants to show people that climate action and happiness can easily coexist.
