I will be empowering students to better manage IT projects!

What work achievement are you most proud of?

Making a transformative influence on my students' viewpoints through teaching and learning dialogues is what fills me with pride as an instructor at UBC Sauder.

What is your favourite quote and why?

I love the platinum rule that says: "Treat others the way THEY would want to be treated" over the golden rule that advocates treating others the way we would want to be treated. The platinum rule places a spotlight on the values of dignity, freedom, and compassionate communication in interactions and stakeholder involvement.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

In my personal time, enjoy walking and biking through the scenic trails of the UBC campus. Beyond this, I also am committed to the cause of minimizing the feelings of exclusion and discrimination experienced by skilled immigrants. This involves immersing myself in the latest studies, attending forums, and connecting with both experts in the field and the immigrants themselves to gain a multifaceted understanding of their experiences. My goal is to identify actionable strategies that can alleviate the sense of exclusion immigrants might encounter and support their seamless integration into the community. By examining best practices from around the world and collaborating with advocacy groups, I hope to contribute to policy development and community programs that create a welcoming environment for all skilled professionals making a new home in our country.
