Like an artist, a marketer likes to create. We do this through words, sounds, videos, pictures, interactivity and so much more.
The best thing about my work/role at UBC:
I love how I have the ability to create something from nothing. The UBC Communicator's Network is also a great networking opportunity and resource to support some of the amazing work we're all doing on campus.
My favourite place to spend my lunch hour:
UBC is a walking campus, and I enjoy spending my lunch hours outdoors (rain or shine) and taking in our beautiful campus. It's a great way to get some fresh air, recalibrate and get my steps in.
My top UBC tip for my colleagues, or for someone beginning their UBC journey:
I highly recommend you develop connections with colleagues on campus working in similar fields from other departments. It's great to hear about projects other units are working on and learning about their experiences. I find I'm always bouncing ideas off colleagues and discussing new best practices as the world of digital marketing is constantly changing.
