Describe what you do at UBC in 10 words or less:

Veterinary health care with a focus on advanced anesthesia.

What work achievement are you most proud of?

I am most proud of recently becoming one of the only certified surgical research anesthetists (SRA) in Canada.

What is your favourite quote and why?

"I can do hard things." This mantra has seen me through many challenging days.

What do you do regularly to invest in your mental and/or physical health?

Regular therapy sessions for the last four years, hiking, road/trail running, kick boxing, rock climbing and relaxing with my cat Ernie, diamond art or by reading mountaineering biographies and non-fiction epidemiology novels.
