Tell us about the team you work with - what do they do?
The academic lead provides strategic direction and supervision, the research coordinator supports me in keeping the work going and leading on research activities, and two summer students support with research activities. We are also partnering with SFU's Centre for Dialogue for group facilitation and service design support.
What three words would others use to describe you?
Reliable, thoughtful, kind
What do you do to ensure a healthy work/life balance?
I try very hard to be disciplined about when I look at work: nothing before I arrive to the office or when I leave (evenings and weekends). I also plan my next day at the end of the workday, and my next week on Friday afternoons. I lay out my priorities to ensure the most important/urgent is completed accordingly. I also play hard: use my vacation days and enjoy Vancouver when it's sunny.
