Describe what you do at UBC in 10 words or less:
I aid students in supporting academic progress.
Tell us about the team you work with - what do they do?
I work with an incredible team at Engineering Academic Services. They are a dedicated group of professionals that help students along their academic journey. Their ability to consistently offer student service excellence amazes me. I am honoured to be a part of such a team and I continuously learn and grow from each and every colleague.
What trait do you most admire in others?
I most admire someone who leads with their heart, is genuine, and has a wicked sense of humour! Whether you want to celebrate an accomplishment or need a good vent, these are the people I seek out. I am lucky to be surrounded by such people, personally and professionally.
What do you do to ensure a healthy work/life balance?
This is a great question and one that I ponder often and continuously adjust. Every life has stressors and it's about finding that sweet spot, which is not always easy with our busy schedules. For me, I ensure that I dedicate time to swimming at the UBC pool, meditating, spending time with loved ones, and immersing myself in Pacific Spirit Park.
