Describe what you do at UBC in 10 words or less:
Helping Faculty of Arts through the transition to Workday Student.
Tell us about the team you work with - what do they do?
Arts Service Centre - Student (ASC Student) is the natural counterpart to ASC Finance and ASC Human Resources. We are a team dedicated to supporting the Faculty of Arts through the transition to Workday Student and related systems. Solving problems and helping others is what we love and do best.
What is your favourite quote and why?
"Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end." As someone who loves backpacking and working in technology management, I love this quote because it reminds me that things will go sideways along the way, but everything will work out eventually.
What do you do to ensure a healthy/work life balance?
I get my commute, daily exercise, and time outdoors done all at the same time by cycling along the seawall from False Creek to UBC. I'm psyched to work on campus because I know the day starts and ends with a scenic coastal trip by the beaches. I think of my work as interesting puzzles I solve between bike rides and travelling.
