Nominations open for UBC Okanagan Teaching Awards

Help recognize outstanding colleagues who significantly impact teaching and learning at UBC Okanagan. Nominations are now open for 2025/26 UBC Okanagan teaching awards.Provost’s Award for Teaching Excellence and InnovationThis award recognizes up to two awards for faculty members with continuing appointments and one award for instructors holding a full or part time limited-term appointment. Nominations for this award are accepted from faculty members, deans, department heads, staff, students, and alumni.

Michael Smith Health Research BC funds UBC researchers to lead health research and improve patient outcomes

BC researchers are at the forefront of tackling our province’s most pressing health challenges, advancing knowledge across biomedical, clinical, health system, and population health research. This year, 26 scientists and health professionals will receive Michael Smith Health Research BC Scholar and Health Professional-Investigator (HP-I) awards, providing the support they need to expand their impact.Thirteen health researchers at UBC are among those awarded funding through these competitions.

Aspire-2040 Learning Transformations (ALT-2040) Fund call for proposals now open

The ALT-2040 Fund supports transformative change in teaching and learning to deliver UBC Okanagan's academic vision.Faculty members at UBC Okanagan are invited to submit proposals for program development, curriculum transformation, student experience enhancement and educational resource development projects on our campus. The deadline to submit a proposal is December 15.
