If you would like help extracting knowledge from your data, you are invited to submit a proposal for your data-related problem to be solved by data scientists-in-training.You can apply for the opportunity to work with up to four students in the Master of Data Science or Master of Data Science (MDS) Computational Linguistics programs, who specialize in modern data science tools and techniques, such as statistical analysis and visualizations. You will receive a customized solution (e.g. new app, analytic reports, scripts or software) for your problem.

SoTL Seed Program open for proposals

The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Seed Program helps you explore and understand the impact of pedagogical choices by providing graduate research specialists, collegial collaborations, and complementary project funding.If you are a faculty or staff member interested in exploring this area of teaching and learning, apply for support and funding.Applications are open until Nov. 18. 

Complete the Employment Equity Survey by Oct. 31

You are invited to complete the latest version of the Employment Equity Survey. This confidential online survey helps inform the university's understanding of the demographic composition of faculty and staff and efforts to ensure equity and fairness in employment practices. New this year, the survey includes an additional response option among disaggregated ethno-racial population groups and an additional question on disability which supports UBC's compliance under the Federal Contractor's Program.
