Lead daily operations of buildings and maintain user contacts.
What is the best thing about your work/role at UBC?
I am the primary contact for building maintenance services (for the Teal Zone), which include cleaning, preventative maintenance, repair and minor renovations at the UBC Vancouver campus. I am involved in planning, hiring, training, directing, and managing tradespeople who provide these services. This gives me overall satisfaction in my work.
What trait do you most admire in others?
Transparency.
What’s one personal experience you would encourage others to do/try?
Walk in the lovely trails on a rainy day. It is a beautiful experience.
How do you challenge yourself in life on a regular basis?
Keep upgrading yourself with degrees and certifications and implement that knowledge in your workplace.
