Describe what you do at UBC in 10 words or less:

Publish complex information for students in plain language online.

Tell us about the team you work with - what do they do?

The Student Communications Services team leads the operations behind students.ubc.ca, as well as a variety of other UBC websites and student communications. Made up of genuine individuals who specialize in various areas of work—design, development, content, and marketing—SCS puts students at the centre of what they do.

What trait do you most admire in others?

Authenticity. I find it courageous for people to unapologetically be themselves despite all the pressures from the world (societal, familial, etc.).

What's one personal experience you would encourage others to do/try?

Travel alone to a place you've never been before. It might be stressful at first, but it can be an eye-opening period of self-reflection.
