UBC Vancouver – call for proposals for teaching-related funding opportunities
We are pleased to invite proposals for a number of teaching-related funding opportunities this fall, in support of advancing UBC’s academic mission. This year, we have expanded our scope of funding by launching a new call for ‘Students as Partners’ in course design. Each year on September 30, people across Canada wear orange and participate in Orange Shirt Day events to recognize and raise awareness about the history and legacies of the residential school system in Canada. This year, September 30 will also mark the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – an opportunity to recognize and commemorate the legacy of residential schools.

Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Michael Hunt to the position of Associate Dean, Graduate Programs, effective September 1, 2021. Dr. Hunt is a Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Director of the Motion Analysis and Biofeedback Lab in the Faculty of Medicine. He is also currently the Associate Dean, Graduate and Postdoctoral Education, in the Faculty of Medicine, and will complete his term there concurrently, ending next summer.
